This is not a fundraising campaign. It is an invitation to contribute to education in three ways: inspiration through real stories, free certified courses, and career guidance. What we ask for is your time, your knowledge and your story. Financial support is kept to the minimum we believe is needed, and where it is needed it goes to the student directly.
CSIC is not a dream project. For two years its work has run online and in the open: 648 videos, three free certified courses and more than 150 volunteer ambassadors, every step dated on this website. Now it is turning to its next level, bringing its online platforms and on-site work together, with Noor-e-Ilm taking career guidance into public schools and colleges from February 2027. At this stage it works under its name and through this website, gathering letters of intent and showing its working in the open before any agreement is signed. It will then be launched in its full form, with all three wings working together for underprivileged youth. We want CSIC to become another name for serving underprivileged youth. This initiative is taken forward and run by the team of Unsung Achievers: faculty, students, alumni and volunteers who give their time.
No money is being collected at this stage. This page asks only for letters of intent. Please do not send money to anyone who claims to be collecting for CSIC. When giving opens, it will be through a documented channel announced on this website, and this notice will be updated.

Assalam o Alaikum.
For two years I have been planting an apple tree, in the evenings after my classes and on weekends, with my own resources and a few people who believed in it. An apple tree does not eat its own fruit. It grows so that others may be fed. That tree now carries a name, CSIC, and three branches: Unsung Achievers, CourseMera and Noor-e-Ilm. We are also preparing a book of the life journeys of the unsung achievers recorded so far, so that their stories reach readers who may never watch a video. As of 19 September 2026 there are 648 videos, more than 94,000 YouTube views and more than 150 volunteer ambassadors registered since 2024, and every step is on this website with its date.
This work draws on my PhD in Management Sciences and my areas of general management, human resources and organisational behaviour. Its core idea is human resource development. We are working to build four kinds of capital in underprivileged youth: human capital, their skills and knowledge; social capital, a network of mentors, alumni and employers; psychological capital, their hope, confidence and resilience; and physical capital, the essentials such as books, kits and devices that let them keep learning. It is carried out with the Unsung Achievers Research Lab, a social sciences lab, and CSIC is the field site of a five-year research project, 2024 to 2029, so that what we do is measured and shared. CSIC is that learning put to work, as service to society, for the young people who need it most.
Pakistan has 26.2 million children out of school (Federal Ministry of Education, 2026), and in our public schools, colleges and universities there are bright, honest, hardworking young people with no backing and no reference. Some leave their studies not for lack of talent but for lack of a fee, a uniform or a pair of shoes.
We are now preparing a proposal, "Bridging Workforce Gaps in an Emerging Man-Machine Socio-Economic Society: Serving Underprivileged Youth in the Public Schools, Public Colleges and Public Universities of Punjab, From Class 8 to the Undergraduate Level", for national and international funding agencies. This time, before we sign any agreement, we want our partners standing with us and every detail ready. We have started working with school, college and university administrations and academic leaders, and with teachers and parents, and we have begun approaching the Education Department, the Higher Education Department, HEC and the concerned ministries.
In the first phase we will serve young people aged 14 to 24 in public institutions with quality education, career guidance and real opportunities, to reduce unemployment and lift families out of poverty. Our aim for every young person we reach is that they become at least financially self-reliant, through inspiration, free certified courses and career guidance, and then by placing them in internships, placing them in jobs, and helping them start their own businesses, so that they can pay their own way and continue their education up to university level. In the second phase we will turn to the children who are out of school. We are building a network of at least 10,000 alumni and 400 schools, colleges and universities.
What we are asking for. This is not a fundraising drive. It is an invitation to contribute to education in three ways: inspiration through real stories, free certified courses, and career guidance, with your time, your knowledge and your story. Financial support is kept to the minimum we believe is needed.
Where money is needed. Most of the funds will reach underprivileged young people directly, in real terms: fees, kits, devices, mentoring, internships. Not cosmetics, not events for show. Every contribution goes in a register, and we will measure what changes for each young person and publish the results, never identifying a young person without consent.
Our promise to every giver, when giving opens. An authentic platform for your giving: the deserving student named by the head of a public institution, the gift reaching that student directly, a register of every contribution, and a report back to you.
Our promise on openness. We will present the proposal in person before every concerned party, wherever and whenever we are asked, and the visits, the sessions and the conversations will be broadcast live. No student is shown or named without consent, and no one under 18 without the written consent of a parent or guardian.
In two years I have learnt that when I ask ten people, about one says yes. The first question I usually hear is: "If I contribute, what will I have?" My answer has always been the same.
No one here is paid for goodness, and no one is asked to be.

I do not carry it alone: it is run by the team of Unsung Achievers, and it is not for me, my wife or my children. Dear student, Assalam o Alaikum.
If you work hard, if you have a dream, and if there is no one in your family or your town who can show you the way, this platform was built for you. You do not need a reference here. You do not need to know anyone. Your effort is your reference.
Perhaps you do not know which subject to choose, which university to apply to, or how to find a scholarship. Perhaps you need someone to talk to. Perhaps you are close to leaving your studies because of a fee, a uniform or a book. Tell us. Every letter will be read by a person, and every student will be answered.
What happens now. At this stage we are not collecting any information from students. When the programme opens, you will be able to join through your own school, college or university, and, if you are under 18, only with your parent's or guardian's consent. Until then, you are welcome to learn from the stories and the free courses on this website, and to tell your teacher or head that you would like guidance.

I have also seen the other side. In public schools and colleges I meet young people who are bright, honest and hardworking, and who have no one. No backing, no reference, nobody who has walked the road before them. Some leave their studies not for lack of talent but for lack of a fee, a uniform or a pair of shoes. Pakistan has 26.2 million children out of school (Federal Ministry of Education, 2026). Behind that number is a child who could have been one of you.
Why I am writing now. We are preparing a proposal for international and national funding agencies. This time, before we sign any agreement, we want our partners standing with us and every detail ready. We have started working with school, college and university administrations and academic leaders, and with teachers and parents, and we have begun approaching the Education Department, the Higher Education Department, HEC and the concerned ministries.

A letter of intent is not a financial commitment. It tells the funder that real people stand behind this work, and it will be attached to the proposal.

Your details are used only for this proposal and CSIC's own records, are shared only with the funding agencies and the institution through which the proposal is submitted, and are removed whenever you ask.

Many of the young people this work will reach are the students who will one day sit in our classrooms, and many of our own alumni are the people we are now asking to help them. This began on one campus. With you, every campus can carry it to the schools and colleges of its own city.
You already mentor, counsel and guide, often without anyone noticing. I am asking you to do it together, as one team, so that it is seen, measured and multiplied.

You know the child I mean. Bright in class, quiet about home, absent one week and gone the next, not for lack of talent but for lack of a fee, a uniform, a pair of shoes, or one adult who said "you can". Pakistan has 26.2 million children out of school (Federal Ministry of Education, 2026). Many of them were once sitting in a classroom like yours. Between the ninth and the tenth class is where we can still hold on to them.
We are preparing a proposal in which most of the funds reach students like yours directly: scholar kits of shoes, uniform, bag and books, career guidance and counselling on site, mentors, and merit awards for those who work hardest, as resources allow. The on-site programme begins in February 2027. It costs your school nothing.
What we ask of you. A letter of intent on your school's letterhead. Later, a room and a morning for a half-day visit, arranged around your timetable, and the names of your most deserving students, nominated by you and your teachers.
What comes back. Guidance and encouragement your students would not otherwise get, a record of every visit, and support for your students by name wherever resources allow. Every visit is made with your permission and written consent, and nothing is done for a child without the parents' consent.
We will gladly come and present the proposal to you, your teachers and your parents, whenever you ask.

Too many of our brightest take the second road, not because they chose it, but because no one showed them the first: which subject, which admission, which scholarship, which test, and how to afford it.
We are preparing a proposal in which most of the funds reach students like yours directly: career and psychological counselling on site, guidance on admissions and scholarships, mentors from among our alumni, free certified courses, visits to universities and workplaces, and merit awards of devices for those who work hardest, as resources allow. The on-site programme begins in February 2027. It costs your college nothing.
What we ask of you. A letter of intent on your college's letterhead. Later, a room and a morning for a half-day visit, arranged around your timetable, and the names of your most deserving students, nominated by you and your faculty.

For a boy or girl from a village school, a university campus is often a place seen only from outside the gate. One visit, one conversation with a student a few years older, one professor who says "there is a seat here for you", can change what a young person believes about their own life. We are preparing a proposal in which most of the funds reach underprivileged young people directly, and in which universities are partners, not spectators: hosting visits by school and college students, sending faculty and student volunteers as mentors and counsellors, joining research on youth, work and education, and opening their own opportunities of scholarships, internships and admissions guidance to the students who need them most.

Where Money Is Needed, in Real Terms

Let me be honest first: money is the smallest part of this work. What changes a young life most is a story, a skill and a guide. Where money is needed, for a fee, a kit or a device, we keep it to the minimum and make sure it reaches the student.
I know how often good money is spent on banners, dinners and photographs, and how little of it reaches the child it was meant for. We have chosen the other way. Most of the funds will reach underprivileged young people in public institutions directly, and we will measure what changes for each of them and publish the results, never identifying a young person without consent.
For two years this work has been self-funded. We are not asking you to trust a plan. We are asking you to look at what has already been built, dated on this website, and decide whether it deserves to grow.
An authentic platform for your giving. Many people want to give but do not know whom to trust. When giving opens, we will offer you a platform you can see into: the deserving student named by the head of a public institution, your gift going to that student directly, every contribution entered in a register, and a report coming back to you.
What we ask of you. A letter of intent saying what you may wish to support: a scholar kit of shoes, uniform, bag and books; a merit award of a laptop, phone or tablet; a scholarship; a course to be digitised; or the on-site programme from February 2027. Through CSR, zakat, grants or in kind. Zakat will be used only for eligible recipients, in line with Shariah. A letter of intent is not a financial commitment.
What comes back. A register of every contribution, photographs with the head of the institution, and a report. We will present the proposal to you in person, wherever and whenever you ask.

Money is the smallest part of what we ask, and where it is needed we keep it to the minimum. Even so, a quiet gift at the right moment can keep a student in school.
Your name will never appear on this website, in a photograph, in a broadcast or in a public report. In the proposal you will be listed only as "an anonymous donor", unless you tell us otherwise. The register will carry a code in place of your name, and the report of what your gift did will come to you privately.

Respected parents, Assalam o Alaikum.
You have given up more than anyone will ever know so that your child can study. You wake early, work late, and hope that one day the effort will open a door. Many of you never had the chance to finish your own education, and you want something better for your children. So do we.
This is service to society, and a noble cause. Through real stories, free courses and career guidance, we want to stand beside your child, so that they can become self-reliant and continue their education up to university level. Nothing is ever done for your child without your consent.
What we ask of you. A short letter of intent saying how you would like to take part: encourage your child to join the guidance sessions at their school or college, attend a session for parents, tell us about a hardworking child in your family or street who needs help, or share your own story of work and sacrifice. You may write in Urdu or English.
What comes back. Guidance for your child that they might not otherwise get, sessions for parents on choices after matric and intermediate, and a family that is never left to face those choices alone.

Somewhere a young person has decided that people like them do not become doctors, officers, engineers or entrepreneurs. One real story can undo that. If you rose through honesty and hard work, or you know someone who did, that story is a map for a child you will never meet.
The book. We are preparing a book of the life journeys of the unsung achievers recorded on the programme so far. If your story was recorded, we will ask for your written permission before it appears in the book, and you will see your chapter before it is published.
What we ask of you. Tell your own story, or nominate someone who changed something. Share this work with people who could use it. Give an hour, a skill or a word of encouragement. And, more than anything, pray for us.
What comes back. A recorded place in the story of Pakistan, a certificate of participation, and the quiet satisfaction of a lamp lit for another.

A Working Model to Point To

You carry the responsibility for millions of young people, and you know better than anyone how far the need outruns the means. We are not asking you to carry more. We are offering a working model, built over two years at no cost to any institution, that joins stories, free certified courses and on-site guidance into one journey for one young person.
How we will write to you. No letter is requested from your office through this page. Our requests for cooperation and permission in principle will reach your office formally, through the proper official channel.
What comes back. Evidence, content and a working model to point to, and a team ready to present the proposal before your office in person, wherever and whenever required.
How We Will Measure What Changes
Service to society must be accountable. Every stage of this work will be assessed through impact assessment studies, carried out by the Unsung Achievers Research Lab, a social sciences lab, with ethics approval and informed consent.
Surveys
A baseline when a young person joins, and follow-up surveys at regular intervals, tracking self-reliance, education and confidence.
In-depth interviews
Life-story interviews with young people, families and mentors: what changed, and why.
Focus group discussions
With students, teachers and parents in each institution, to hear honestly what works and what does not.
Meet-ups
Regular meet-ups of mentors, alumni and partners to review progress together and solve problems early.
Workshops
Skill and career workshops that serve young people and gather their feedback at the same time.
Seminars
Seminars that share the findings openly with institutions, partners and policy makers.

How participants are protected. Ethics approval before every study. Taking part is voluntary, with informed consent, and the written consent of a parent or guardian for anyone under 18. Answers are kept confidential and reported without identifying anyone. Findings are published in plain language through the Research Bulletin.
Needs assessment. Needs assessment surveys for young people, parents and employers have been prepared, to shape each wing around real needs. They will open only after ethics approval.

Why do you call this a noble cause?
Because it asks nothing for itself. It is service to society: time, knowledge and guidance given so that an underprivileged young person can study, earn and stand on their own feet. It is offered for the sake of Allah, as community building service.
If I contribute, what will I get?
Nothing, something, everything. Nothing, because no payment, position or personal benefit is offered or promised to anyone. Something, because you receive a certificate of participation and, with your consent, your name on the record. Everything, because service to society is its own reward, and a lamp lit for another is never lost.
Is this paid work?
No. Every role here is voluntary service to society. No salary, fee or honorarium is offered or promised at this stage.
Is money being collected?
No. This page asks only for letters of intent. Please do not send money to anyone who claims to be collecting for CSIC.
I am not wealthy or well known. Can I still help?
Yes, and you are exactly who we need. Most of what changes a young life costs nothing: an hour of guidance, a story honestly told, a skill taught, a door opened. That is the heart of this noble cause.
Why should I trust this?
Because the work came before the request. For two years it has run online and in the open, self-funded, with every step dated on this website. Nothing is hidden, no money is being collected, and every question on this page is answered in writing.
Is there an academic basis for this work?
Yes. It draws on Dr. Rana Nadir Idrees's PhD in Management Sciences and his areas of general management, human resources and organisational behaviour, with human resource development as its core idea: building the human, social, psychological and physical capital of underprivileged youth. The research is carried out by the Unsung Achievers Research Lab, a social sciences lab, and CSIC is the field site of a five-year research project, 2024 to 2029, on the workforce gaps of an emerging human-machine society. Its results will be measured and published.
Is CSIC part of a university or a government body?
No. CSIC is an independent, voluntary community building service initiative founded by Dr. Rana Nadir Idrees in a personal capacity. It does not speak for any university or employer. Public bodies are being approached, and none has endorsed it yet.
Why a letter of intent, and why now?
Before any agreement is signed, we want the funding partners to see that real people already stand behind this service to society. Your letter is that proof. It will be attached to the proposal.
Will the stories be published as a book?
Yes. A book of the life journeys of the unsung achievers recorded so far is in preparation. No story appears in it without the written permission of the person whose story it is, and each person sees their chapter before it is published.
Is there a deadline?
Please send your letter by 15 November 2026. The short proposal is submitted in October 2026, and the full proposal in December 2026 to HEC and, side by side, to other national and international agencies, with every letter of intent attached. Letters that come later are still welcome, and CSIC is launched in its full form on site in February 2027, InshaAllah.
Does a letter of intent bind me?
No. It expresses your intent only and is not a financial or legal commitment. You may withdraw it at any time with one email.
What happens to my letter, CV and photograph?
They are attached to the proposal and shared with the funding agencies and the institution through which it is submitted, and kept in CSIC's own records. Nothing is published without your consent, and everything is removed whenever you ask.
Will my name or my organisation's name be shown publicly?
Only with your written consent. An organisation's name or logo is never shown without its written permission, and silent donors are never named at all.
How much time will it take?
As little as an hour a month. You choose the role and the time you can give, and you may pause or leave at any time without any explanation.
Can I take part from abroad, or online?
Yes. Mentoring, career guidance, teaching a skill and telling your story can all be done online, from anywhere in the world.
Where will the on-site work take place?
In public schools, colleges and universities, Punjab first, from February 2027, and always with the permission and written consent of the head of the institution.
Who decides which students are supported?
Students are nominated by the heads of their own institutions, on need and merit, never through personal reference.
How will students, especially those under 18, be kept safe?
Every session takes place in the institution with its staff present. All contact with a student under 18 goes through the institution or the parent or guardian, never privately. No student is photographed, recorded or named without consent, and no one under 18 without a parent's or guardian's written consent. Female students are guided by female mentors wherever possible.
Whom does CSIC serve?
CSIC is non-political, and serves every young person regardless of religion, sect, gender, ethnicity or background. Service to society knows no divisions.
How will you know whether it works?
Through impact assessment studies: surveys, in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, meet-ups, workshops and seminars, carried out with ethics approval and consent. We will measure how many young people become at least financially self-reliant, how many continue their education to university level, and how their human, social, psychological and physical capital grows. The results will be published without identifying any young person without consent.
How will I hear back?
A person reads every letter and writes back personally, and places you where you can serve best.
Can I recommend someone else?
Yes, please do. Send them the link to their own letter on this page. Every person who joins multiplies this noble cause.
