Pakistani Success Stories: Case Studies Written by Interns

Management and governance are taught in Pakistan largely through foreign cases. This project turns every internship into field research: the intern documents the organisation that hosts them, on a structured workbook, and the result comes back to the classroom as a Pakistani teaching case.

Why

A business student in Lahore learns corporate governance from Enron, Satyam and Infosys. The lessons are real, but the companies are far away. A repository of indigenous cases, written from inside Pakistani organisations by the students who worked there, gives the same lessons a local face and gives the organisation a record of its own story.

What the intern produces

A case study of the host organisation on a fourteen-section workbook, benchmarked on the published Infosys case as the minimum standard, not the ceiling:

  1. Origin, and why the organisation was founded
  2. The founder's vision and entrepreneurial journey
  3. Products and services
  4. Business model and growth strategy
  5. Organisational structure and governance
  6. Human resource practices and culture
  7. Leadership and teamwork
  8. Technology and innovation
  9. Marketing and branding
  10. Achievements and milestones
  11. Challenges, and how they were overcome
  12. SWOT analysis
  13. Critical success factors
  14. Lessons for future entrepreneurs and managers

Every section is an evidence table: what was asked, what the source was (interviews, documents, the website, brochures, annual reports, social media, observation, news), and what was found. Opinion without evidence does not count.
